Dr. Parveen Azam Khan, President/Chief Executive of DOST received the following Awards/ nominations:


The 2002 United Nations Vienna Civil Society Award

In recognition of her outstanding achievements and contribution to the global fight against drug abuse, crime and terrorism. The Award was conferred in Vienna on the 17th of December, 2002.


Nobel Peace Prize

Nominated for the "1000 Women Nobel Peace Prize 2005"
by the Swiss initiative, President of the Association, Member of the Council of Europe.


Public Service

Tamgha-i-Imtiaz for Public Service 2003 was awarded by the Government of Pakistan
In recognition of achieving excellence and outstanding contribution in the field of Public Service. The Award was conferred by General Parvez Musharraf President of Pakistan at Islamabad on 23 March 2004.


Nominated twice for The Prestigious Magsaysay Award.
